One thing to give back in the easiest way

One thing to give back in the easiest way

I’m a big believer in charitable auto-deductions: it’s the easiest way to support the organizations I believe in. I have regular donations set up for Planned Parenthood, EMILY’s List and my high school’s scholarship fund. If you have non-profits that you believe in, I highly recommend setting up automatic donations–it only takes a minute to set up and it’s incredibly valuable to the organizations.

Honestly. I actually started writing this post, and then realized I wished I donated regularly to the ASPCA, so I popped over to their website and literally set up a monthly gift in less than a minute. Boom!

And if you use Amazon–which I do for basically everything, from books to toilet paper to dog food–make sure you sign up for AmazonSmile. You can choose a charitable organization to support, and Amazon will donate a portion of every purchase to the organization. It actually doesn’t cost anything, and it’s such a great way to support a cause! I support Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, since I figured that might be a region that could use some extra funds and general good vibes. A few other great options: ASPCA, Code.org, charity: water.

Do you have any other easy ways to support your favorite charity or any other favorite non-profits to support?
