Postcard from Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm

If there is one thing I get FOMO over, it’s flowers. I realize how incredibly lame this sounds, but I honestly get so excited about the fleeting nature of blooms in the spring. You only have a few weeks to enjoy all of the flowers, and you never know exactly when it’s going to happen! And then it does happen, and so suddenly, it’s gone and you won’t get all of those colors until next spring.Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Portland, OregonAnd so when I realized that we would be in Portland during the height of the tulip festival at Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm, I HAD TO GO. It’s located about 45 minutes outside of Portland proper, but holy moly, it was worth it! My boyfriend had absolutely zero interest in going (which is 100% completely understandable), so I decided to drive out first thing Sunday morning to legit frolic in the blooms while he checked out a cool coffee shop.

I just couldn’t get enough. It only cost $5 to get in, and even the drive itself was lovely, through wide open fields and vineyards and along the Willamette River. I rolled the windows down and turned the country music up, and it felt just like home. If you’re ever in the realm of a tulip field at full bloom: GO GO GO. Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Portland, Oregon Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Portland, Oregon Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Portland, Oregon Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Portland, Oregon Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Portland, Oregon Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Portland, Oregon Christine Amorose in Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Portland, OregonWhat’s your favorite photo of Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm? Are there any other flower farms you recommend?
